Op de Facebook groep van Check Point Alpha werd een geweldig mooie schets van Mutt & Junkyard gepost, door Nathan Rosario. 🔥🔥🔥
Deze zie je hierboven en wilde ik natuurlijk dolgraag met jullie delen, al is het, zoals hij zelf zegt nog een "work in progress". Mocht er een update volgen, dan zal ik deze aan dit artikel toevoegen, want interesse daarin is er zeker. 😎
De volgende tekst plaatste hij bij zijn post:
"Just some GI Joe fan art that I've been working on during my spare time. It's supposed to be Mutt and Junkyard getting a few moments of rest while out in the field.
Junkyard is awake because I came up with the idea that they just instinctively take turns sleeping when any potential danger might be nearby. This way they constantly look after each other and they are rarely both asleep at the same time while out on a mission. Just an idea I had while drawing this and it's not "official canon" as far as I know.
Still just a work in progress and I can post updates if anyone is interested."
Daarop vroeg ik hem of hij nog meer G.I. Joe gerelateerde kunst had gemaakt. Het bleek dat hij eerder dit jaar een Bazooka had gemaakt, maar daar houdt het voorlopig op, helaas...
Maar ook deze illustratie deel ik graag met jullie, waarbij Rasario zelf de volgende tekst deelde:
"Just a bit of fan art I did for a change of pace. This is Sgt. David L. Katzenbogen, codename: Bazooka, from G.I. Joe. The idea here is that someone told him he looked like he was getting fat (most likely Alpine or Quick Kick) and, being a show-don't-tell kind of guy, this is how he proves them wrong.
For anyone who is familiar with G.I. Joe, I used his color scheme from the 1980s Sunbow cartoon for this drawing."
