Soms staat er een tabblad open, een lange tijd, en heb ik geen idee meer hoe ik daar ben gekomen. Maar wat die pagina's gemeen hebben, is dat ze veelal toffe G.I. Joe content hebben, die ik graag met de wereld wil delen. Zo ook deze DeviantArt pagina van Lroy Burch (Leroy).

Helaas is zijn laatste G.I. Joe werk alweer anderhalf jaar geleden, maar van mij mag hij wel vaker ons geliefde thema aansnijden. Maar voor nu zullen we het moeten doen met het archief. "Ok, I haven't posted any thing GI Joe for some time (about the time the movies kill my motivation). So its about time.
The Oktober Guard are the Soviet (and later Russian*) couterpart to the GI Joe team.
From left to right: "Schrage" ?, Andrei "Dragonski" Freisov, "Stormavik" Shturmovik, Stepan "Horrorshow" Drunkersky, "Daina" L. Janack (aka Volga, Vorona), and Col. Ivan N. "Brekhov".
The original plan was to update the OKtober Guard with modern gear, but after hours of research I decided that I couldn't modernize them without losing what makes them, them. So I modernized some of the weapons and made some small tweaks but mostly they are their Marvel comic version.

"Being a big GI Joe fan and a Community fan I obviously loved the "GI Jeff" episode of Community. Just after it aired I drew my version of the "Mutineers". I didn't get around to cleaning it up and coloring it until now, but better late than never.

Before GIJoe RAH was created Lerry Hama pitched a team lead by Nick Fury's son, Sgt. Fury to Marvel. It was rejected, but a few years later Hasbro came to marvel wanting to make a GIJoe comic. Long story short Hama had Fury Force as a head start, and you can see the influinces.

This is actually the second time I cleaned up and shaded this one. I liked the first one a little better but, my computer crashed while saving and I lost it. Oh well I'm still happy with it."

"I was asked to draw something from GI Joe Extreme a long time ago by someone on the Joereloaded.com forums, but I forgot until I found a rough draft when sorting a stack of paper.
I'm not really a fan of Extreme in fact it is pretty much what killed GI Joe for me in the mid 90's. Between the art style I don't like, the horrible 90's neon color scheme, and that every character was huge. I was less then impressed.
After some research I did see some possibility. I'm still not sold on it, but I do like to take thing I don't like and try to make them cool.
So anyway. I believe this is Iron Klaw and Steel Raven they are the leaders of the bad guys (S.K.A.R.)

I referenced the toy instead of the character turnaround that has been released. So, I interpreted his shirt a little different (Short sleeves w/ no pockets) then will be seen in the show.

Usually I just run filters and mess with levels to clean up my pencils or inks, but I decided I would try "dinking" this one. It's a lot more work but it looks cleaner. Let me know what you think."

"I was asked to draw Glenda and Quarrel. For anyone that doesn't know they are both repaints of the G.I. Joe action figure Scarlet. Glenda was released in Argentina and Quarrel was released in the U.K. as part of Action Force.
Being essentially the same character I made some slight changes to further differentiate them from each other.

"I like the newer comic version of Jinx but a also like the red costume so I desided to blend the two and add a little more authenticity so I made the pants hakamas. I'm realy happy with how it came out. I was stupid and didnt save and it crashed when I was almost dun coloring her so I had to do that twice but the second time went smothly,and then I spent about as much time on the background.
